This body scrub recipe is so simple and versatile with only 3 base ingredients, and it can be used daily. It feels so luxurious and pampering, but the best part is that you don't have to worry about conserving it because it's so cheap and easy to make.
Usually I use little glass mason jars for storing and gifting, but I had this cute little rose tea tin laying around that I had been waiting to use. I always encourage people to get creative with the scents and essential oils because there are an abundance of options. You don't just have to stick to lemon and rose. This is also a great gift idea!
1/2 cup cane sugar
3 tbsp melted coconut oil
3 tbsp rose castile soap (Dr. Bronners is best- you can use any other scent or even unscented if you'd like)
10 sprays rosewater
8 drops lemon essential oil
Place everything in a bowl an stir vigorously with a fork or spoon until it begins to lighten in color. You'll want to whip it until it reaches a marshmallow fluff consistency. Sometimes I find that I need to adjust the amounts of ingredients depending on the temperature of the room. When it's cold, the coconut oil tends to firm up a little faster, in which case I either add more castile soap or a little more warm melted coconut oil. The recipe doesn't have to be exact. Transfer it into your preferred container and that's it!
