The quaint and sweet atmosphere of 2 Amys transports you out of the hustle and bustle of D.C. which may partly be due to the fact that it's pretty far away from any major hubs, and if you're traveling by metro it will take you about a 30 minute walk to get there. The closest metro is Cleveland Park, but there are bus routes running along Wisconsin that are very convenient.
Jen (my partner) and I went for brunch on a Saturday, and the first thing we ordered was a little pastry called a coronutto that was similar to a croissant, but even more decadent and covered with a very thin layer of sweet and tangy lemon glaze. It was flaky and crunchy and chewy and crispy and amazing, and I briefly fell in love with it. I didn't get a picture of it because we literally scarfed it down in like...4 bites.
The next thing we ordered was the Orange Salad, which had orange slices, paper thin red onion, olives and chives. So simple yet so delicious and refreshing! It had everything you could ever want- it was sweet, salty, bitter, spicy, sour, fresh and delicious!
